OUR STORY

Blueprints 4 Keys is a Veteran owned company, founded by retired Air Force Veteran, Carolyn Leonforte Howard. Carolyn has long been inspired by the idea of keys. Drawn to their symbolism of responsibility and ownership, she appreciates the way they empower her to secure important things or unlock new opportunities.

As Carolyn neared retirement from the Air Force, she prepared to leverage her experience in short term rental investments into her post-military career. She’d had personal success as a short term rental owner, and wanted to help more homeowners maximize the potential of their investments. All they needed, she thought, was a blueprint to follow – and a key to unlock potential.

In 2023, Carolyn combined the reliability of following blueprints with the empowering feeling of holding keys, to create Blueprints 4 Keys (B4K). High demand quickly followed, and in just a short time, B4K earned its reputation for excellence in property management.

OUR TIMELINE

When we opened our doors in 2023, we proudly managed three short term rentals, and we were poised to take on more. What followed can be described only as explosive, exciting growth. When we look at our timeline, we’re amazed and excited, knowing so much happened in a short period of time – and it’s only the beginning!

APRIL 2023

Carolyn Leonforte Howard finalized plans to officially open the doors of B4K. The Veteran owned company's starting inventory was 3 short term rentals.

MAY 2023

B4K officially opened, and it was propelled by immediate demand. In the first month, B4K hired its first staff member, and its inventory grew to 5 short term rentals.

NOVEMBER 2023

Inventory and staff surged through the 3rd Quarter, with 10 total properties and 600% growth in staff. As a Veteran owned company, B4K was proud to welcome other Veterans and military spouses to the team.

APRIL 2024

To improve the user experience for both homeowners and guests, B4K integrated high-powered navigational technology.

MAY 2024

B4K expanded its services to include long term rental property management, and it initiated plans for users to access an advanced digital platform.

AUGUST 2024

Inventory continued to expand, this time reaching outside of Anne Arundel County. New STRs and LTRs became available, totaling 16 STRs and 5 LTRs in 3 states.

SEPTEMBER 2024

B4K launched a new website, improving user experience and establishing an omnichannel presence.

FOUNDER AND CEO

Carolyn Leonforte Howard

Carolyn Leonforte Howard traveled the globe for 20 years on Active Duty with the United States Air Force. Always a high-performer, Carolyn was a Communications Systems Operator and chosen to serve on selectively manned aircraft. She maintained system and communication security while flying government and military leaders of the highest levels around the world. Success in this role led her to additional high-visibility roles serving top military officials. She retired as a Master Sergeant in 2023.

Before retiring, Carolyn experienced personal success managing her own short-term rental properties in Anne Arundel County – all while serving in a high-level position at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Even with the six-hour time difference, Carolyn managed lucrative STRs, developing and fine-tuning strategies that she could apply easily to future opportunities. These original “blueprints” became the cornerstone of her current services at B4K.

Now at the helm of B4K, with a lifetime of well honed skills to drive her, Carolyn’s goal is to provide immediate peace of mind for her clients as she helps them build their own success story.
